Frequently asked questions
Straight answers to common project questions.
The detail matters. These answers explain our usual approach, but the final plan always depends on the furniture, site, access and programme.
01What information is needed for a quotation?
Send the furniture schedule, drawings where available, project address, preferred dates, delivery arrangements, access information, lift availability, loading restrictions, working hours, storage needs and any clearance requirements.
02Can APi meet furniture deliveries directly on site?
Yes, where agreed in advance. We need the delivery vehicle, timing, unloading method, loading access and furniture schedule before confirming the plan.
03Can APi unload furniture?
Yes, unloading can be included in the agreed scope. The vehicle, packaging, palletisation, access and mechanical handling requirements must be confirmed.
04Does APi operate nationwide?
Yes. We operate throughout the UK and can consider European projects subject to the project requirements.
05Can APi work outside normal office hours?
Out-of-hours and weekend work can be planned where required. Availability and any site restrictions need to be confirmed before booking.
06Can APi store furniture before installation?
Yes. We offer short and longer-term project holding, consolidation, staged delivery and redelivery from our West Sussex base.
07Can projects be completed in phases?
Yes. Phased work can be planned by floor, area, delivery or programme date, provided the sequence and dependencies are agreed.
08Can APi remove unwanted furniture?
Yes. We can quote for furniture clearance and assess suitable reuse, recycling or disposal routes once the inventory and condition are known.
09How is furniture disposed of responsibly?
The appropriate route depends on the materials, condition, volume and available outlets. We review the actual items before confirming the method or documentation.
10Can APi handle IT and WEEE equipment?
We can support IT and WEEE collection and disposal. Equipment details, data-security requirements and documentation must be agreed first.
11Does APi provide crates?
Yes, crate hire can be arranged for office moves and other project requirements, subject to quantities, dates and availability.
12Can APi undertake relocations and reconfigurations?
Yes. We dismantle, move and reassemble agreed furniture items and can reconfigure existing workplace layouts after reviewing the product and proposed plan.
13How far in advance should projects be booked?
As early as practical. Lead time depends on the size, location, programme and labour requirement, so availability is only confirmed when the scope and dates are agreed.
14Can APi work in schools and occupied buildings?
Yes. We plan access, safeguarding or site rules, working zones and programme constraints with the responsible project contact before work starts.
15Can APi support European installations?
Yes, subject to the location, programme, transport, documentation and site requirements being reviewed and agreed.
